What time should we arrive/depart?On Friday September 19th, you are welcome to check in at 5pm or anytime after. For checkout, we need to be out of the camp on Sunday before 11am.

What is the dress code?The dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception will be semi formal. Women are encouraged to wear dresses (flats are recommended due to the terrain). Men should wear suits (ties are optional). On Friday Night, you are encouraged to wear your best country-inspired outfit for the Country Themed Welcome Party.

Are children welcome?Yes! Kids are welcome to join us for the entire weekend. There will be plenty of activities to keep them entertained all weekend long. If you wish to have a few child-free hours during the wedding, camp staff will be able to watch them during the ceremony or reception.

Where will we stay?We are encouraging all guests to stay with us at Camp Arowhon throughout the weekend. Accommodations are cabin style and will be assigned by us to suit your needs. Alternative accommodations will have to be made independently. The closest hotel is Arowhon Pines, an all-inclusive resort on Lake Teepee. Further than that, there are multiple accommodation options in Huntsville, Ontario (approx. 1 hour drive from Camp Arowhon).

What will we eat throughout the weekend?If you are just joining us for the wedding, we will be providing dinner to all guests. If you choose to stay at Camp Arowhon with us, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be covered in your Accommodation Fee. Mackenzie and Jordan are working with the camp's culinary team to craft a delicious menu for the weekend. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP so the camp's culinary team can accommodate them.

Is the wedding open bar?The wedding dinner and reception will be open bar. We will be supplying cold beer, coolers, wine, house cocktails and non-alcoholic drink options throughout the night. The variety will be limited, so if you have a specialty beverage that you prefer to drink, you are welcome to bring them. We will not be supplying alcoholic beverages for Friday's country-themed welcome party or any of the day-time activities on Saturday, but you are welcome to BYOB to those events.

How much do accommodations cost?If you choose to stay at Camp Arowhon with us, there will be a one-time accommodation fee which is required in advance This fee will include 2 nights accommodation in a cabin, all meals for the weekend and access to all of Camp Arowhon's activities. Accommodation Fees: $350/Adult $175/Child (age 5 - 13) Free for Children under age 5 Please e-transfer the Accommodation Fee to thethompsons-2025@hotmail.com before July 19, 2025.

What are the sleeping arrangement like at the camp?There are a variety of different cabin styles that range from private cabins, to semi private, to party cabins to share with others! We will be assigning everyone to cabins. If you have any specifications regarding your cabin or have a request to stay with someone/people specifically, let us know on the RSVP. Every cabin has a bathroom with it, shower cabins are available for those cabins that don't have a shower.

What should we bring?-Sleeping bag and pillow (if you are arriving on a plane and don't have access to bedding, please let us know and we will arrange for bedding to be provided for you) -Swim suit -Shower supplies (towel, flip flops, soap, etc.) -Semi-formal attire for Ceremony -A country-themed outfit for Friday's welcome party -Activewear for camp activities and games -A small, hand-held mirror (some cabins don't have a mirror in them) -Your favourite snacks (Camp Arowhon is a nut free facility) -Your favourite beverages for Friday night and Saturday afternoon -If you are a fishing enthusiast, you are welcome to bring your rod and fishing gear as there are some great fishing spots on Lake Teepee

What if I want to come to the wedding, but I can't stay the weekend at Camp Arowhon?If you cannot stay at the camp over the weekend, please arrive for 4pm on Saturday, September 20 for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and party then head home after. If you are not spending the weekend with us, please make sure you indicate that on the RSVP.

Do you have a registry?Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for as we celebrate this special weekend. We know that travel and accommodations can add up, and we truly appreciate the effort it takes to join us. Your support and love mean the world to us, so we are not expecting gifts. However, if you wish to contribute in some way, we would be grateful for any support toward our honeymoon fund.
